Certificate III in OH+S from Master Builders- You will be enrolled in the Master Builder's OH+S Cert III course, which runs one day a fortnight for 9 sessions. This Module requires your successful completion of this course.

Daily Experience Journal - You are required to keep a journal of your experience on site at the end of each day.

Module Quiz– Complete the Module online Quiz at the end of your time within this Module. Once your have completed the Quiz, a copy will be provided to yourself, your Line Manager and the OHS+E Manager for record.  It is important that you answer the questions as best you can and as detailed as you can, as this will allow you to gain knowledge and expand your experience in this Module.

Weekly Evaluation Form – At the end of each week, yourself and the OHS+E Manager will complete an Evaluation Form. This ensures that you have the most relevant and effective experience in this Module.

Training Videos – You are required to make time to watch the training videos and there is a questionnaire attached for each Video to complete. There are 2 training videos and questionnaires.

Your OHS+E Manager is Joe Krizan who will ensure you cover all aspects of the OHS+E and ISO Accreditation requirements at Corplex.

 

It is expected that throughout the period of 6 weeks that you complete this Module, you achieve the following outcomes:

  • Have a thorough understanding of the legal requirements under the OH+S Act for Corplex to safely manage all its projects and general office environment

  • Understand the requirements of a Subcontractor OH+S pack, what it involves and how to check the pack for errors

  • Understand the theory of SWMS and their practical application in the workplace

  • Assist the OHS Manager in the day-to-day aspects of their role

  • Assist the Projects Team in gathering information for OHS+E requirements for their projects, such as Traffic Management Plans

  • Have a thorough understanding of our ISO Accreditation requirements, documentation and systems and assist in updating these as required with the OH+S Manager

Of utmost importance for all Corplex Projects are our Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental processes and procedures. Corplex has a very high standard of OHS&E performance, and our Projects reflect our stringent adherence to best practice standards that ensure our people, both internal and external work in a safe environment.

 

As part of the OHS&E Module, you will gain experience and insight into our OHS&E principles, and how we manage all our Projects based on these principles. You will work closely with the OHSE Manager and Site Manager and participate in the completion of the OHSE documents that are required to ensure that Corplex OHSE strategies are being met.

 

As part of your OHS&E Module, you will be required to undertake tasks that assist the Project and Site Team to implement Safety Procedures on our Project Sites- such as inductions for Contractors, Plant and Equipment, ensuring Contractors review and sign their applicable SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) and ensuring details of the contractor are completed in the OHS Sub Contractor Pack.

In addition to OHS+E you will learn about Corplex's ISO Accredited Integrated Management System. 

Corplex are an ISO accredited company, and we comply with the following International Standards;

 

  1. AS/NZS ISO 9001 for Quality Management

  2. AS/NZS 4801 for Occupational Health and Safety

  3. AS/NZS ISO 14001 for Environmental Management

In order to comply with the above standards, Corplex adheres to strict internationally recognised Processes, Procedures and Policies that undergo continuous auditing and monitoring and updating by our Integrated Management Systems department. As part of the Corplex Team, you will be required to understand the practices we have in place for our IMS in order to maintain our ISO Accreditation and you will be required to follow the correct Procedures and adhere to our Policies on all Projects you are working on.

 

The aim of this Module is to refresh and review the structure and basic requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS 4801 and enable company employees to use the IMS and add value to the orginisation.

There are current policies and procedures that form part of the Corplex IMS system that each member of the Corplex Team must fully comply with on any Project. These Procedures are as follows:

As part of the ISO Accreditation Module, you will gain experience in maintaining our Control Documents for all Projects you are working on, and importantly you will have insight in to how a business like Corplex ensures we continuously maintain and improve our ability to perform to the highest of standards. As a member of the Corplex Team, your input in to the management of all Projects in adherence with our ISO standards will be one of the most important and effective outcomes of the Project, as it will directly contribute to our high reputation in the industry.

 

Furthermore, you will be involved in ensuring that Corplex continues to provide our high level of service by taking part in improving and maintaining our current ISO System, working along side the IMS Team on monitoring and updating our current Processes and Policies.
 

In order to effectively complete this Module, you will ensure that all ISO Standards that we have in place are recognised on each Project and that our IMS Procedures are adhered to throughout the lifetime of the Project.

 

The outcome will be that you will have a thorough understanding of the principles of the IMS, understand the structure of the Corplex IMS and understand our Policies and Procedures.
